چکیده
Background Diabetes Mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by insulin resistance with several abnormalities which trigger neuronal complications, neurodegeneration, and cognitive impairments. Repaglinide (REP) an insulinotropic, neuroprotective agent short-action poor absorption characteristics. Hence, the present study was aimed to investigate efficacy of REP-loaded lipid polymer-hybrid nanoparticles (REP-LPHNPs) in High Fat Diet low dose Streptozotocin (HFD-STZ) induced deficits wistar rats model. Methods The REP-LPHNPs were prepared solvent evaporation method. optimization statistical analysis LPHNPs done using Design-Expert software response surface Box-Behnken design. Animals fed HFD-STZ (30 mg/kg; i.p) induce impairment. Treatment carried out for 28 days separate groups viz, negative control, positive pure REP (4 mg/kg, p.o.), p.o.). Behavior assessment parameters like passive avoidance test, spatial navigation task, probe trial, spontaneous locomotor activities performed. Further, biochemical performed oxidative stress markers. Moreover, pharmacokinetic (PK) performed, assessed Phoenix WinNolin CerteraTM (Pharsight, U.S.A; version:8.0) non-compartmental modelling. Results having phospholipid coated hydrophobic polymer core successfully thoroughly. showed improved PK parameters, e.g., t1/2 (h) AUC, found increased twice than REP. significantly reduced impairment assessing behavioral tests. It observed that nanocarrier learning memory as compared Conclusion In summary, downsides loading into LPHNPs. demonstrates better effects alone HFD STZ encountered rats.

Co-administration of retinoic acid and atorvastatin mitigates high-fat diet induced renal damage in rats
Obesity causes many problems such as cardiovascular and chronic kidney diseases. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of retinoic acid and atorvastatin co-administration in kidneys protection against high-fat diet induced damage. Twenty-five male Wistar rats (200.00 ± 20.00 g) were divided into five groups: 1) Control (standard diet), 2) High-fat diet (cholesterol 1.00%, 75 days),...
متن کاملOnion peel extracts ameliorate hyperglycemia and insulin resistance in high fat diet/streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats
BACKGROUND Quercetin derivatives in onions have been regarded as the most important flavonoids to improve diabetic status in cells and animal models. The present study was aimed to examine the hypoglycemic and insulin-sensitizing capacity of onion peel extract (OPE) containing high quercetin in high fat diet/streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats and to elucidate the mechanism of its insulin-sens...
متن کاملEmbelia ribes extract reduces high fat diet and low dose streptozotocin-induced diabetic nephrotoxicity in rats
Nephropathy associated with type 2 diabetes is the single most common cause of end-stage renal disease. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the preventive effect of ethanolic extract of Embelia ribes fruit (EER) against high fat diet (HFD) and low dose streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic nephrotoxicity in Wistar rats. HFD-fed and low dose STZ (35 mg/kg, i.p)-induced diabetic rats wer...
متن کاملP-51: Effects of Garlic on Sperm Parameters in Rats with High Fat Diet
Background: Obesity and raised body mass index (BMI) is a major risk factor for several diseases such as cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, as well as gynecological problems. In recent years, some studies have associated the BMI with reproductive parameters in men, showing that increased BMI is related to poor semen quality, decreased sperm concentration, decreased and normal-motile sperm...
